Simón, a picturesque town that leaves visitors in awe. From the moment you arrive, you can't help but be amazed by all the little surprises this place holds. One of the first things that caught my attention was a fully-equipped Westfalia camper van, complete with all the bells and whistles. It had everything you could possibly need - curtains, a solar panel, and even a roll cage to prevent rollovers. I couldn't help but wonder how much it cost, and who the lucky owners were.

As I made my way through the town, I stumbled upon a unique drink called Pool. It intrigued me, so I decided to try it. It turned out to be a distillate of pulque, a traditional Mexican beverage. With just one sip, I felt like a whirlwind of cats fighting in my mouth. It was an experience I'll never forget.

But the surprises didn't end there. I encountered a local delicacy called "Cinco Cinco" - a cross between a gordita and an empanada. The farmers in the area often carry these tasty treats with them, as they don't spoil easily. With a desire to promote local gastronomy, the town decided to provide snacks to tourists during their three-hour tour. I couldn't resist trying one, and let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious.

Embracing the Magic of Simón

Simón is a town that captivates your heart with its rich history and stunning architecture. It's the kind of place that deserves to be designated as a "Pueblo Mágico" - a magical village. The people here are incredibly warm and friendly, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The weather is beautiful, and there is so much to see and do.

During my time in Simón, I had the pleasure of meeting Ángel and Aarón, who quickly turned from strangers to friends. They welcomed me with open arms and showed me around the town. I couldn't have asked for better companions on my journey. Ángel even introduced me to his exquisite artwork, which left me in awe of his talent.

Unearthing Hidden Gems in Simón

As I continued my exploration of Simón, I stumbled upon some hidden treasures. One property caught my eye - a beautiful house with a rich history. It was rumored to have once belonged to an important figure in the town. I envisioned restoring it, adding a fireplace, and transforming it into a cozy cabin. However, the owners had no intention of selling, which I completely understood. It's impossible to buy every charming property you come across, no matter how much you may want to.

Another unexpected find was a canoe that was seemingly abandoned. I couldn't resist taking it as a souvenir of my time in Chiapas. But, of course, I would be more than happy to negotiate a fair price with the owner if they were interested in selling.

Reflecting on the Beauty of Simón

As my time in Simón came to an end, I couldn't help but reflect on the incredible experiences I had and the wonderful people I met. The town's motto of not caring about social status resonated deeply with me. It's a philosophy that embraces inclusivity and creates an environment where everyone can have a great time.

I wanted to thank Ángel and Aarón for their kindness and hospitality. They welcomed me as a stranger and bid me farewell as a friend. The friendships I've made during my travels are priceless, and I will always fondly remember Simón as one of the most beautiful towns I've visited.

So, farewell Simón, until we meet again. But next time, I'll come as a tourist, ready to enjoy all the culinary delights, a place to stay, and the opportunity to explore your hidden gems. I'll rent one of the houses near Ángel's workshop and embark on a culinary and cultural tour of Simón. And of course, I'll make sure to stop by Ángel's home to see his incredible art.

Thank you, Simón, for an unforgettable adventure.
