I've noticed plenty of channels out there discussing self-improvement strategies after the fact, reflecting on their journeys. But I'm taking a different approach. I anticipate stumbling along the way, but that's all part of the process.
Let me give you a little background on myself. I'm a 27-year-old software engineer, a dedicated dad, a loving husband, and, most importantly, a Christ follower. My schedule, thanks to my one-year-old, is a whirlwind. No matter how meticulously I plan, life has a knack for throwing curveballs. So, this journey will involve a fair amount of trial and error as I discover what works best for me in maintaining a consistent routine that includes exercise, reading, and personal growth.
This vlog isn't just for me; it's a living testimonial. It's a story of how God has worked in my life and how I've applied various strategies to become a better person, more aligned with my faith. Here's a little secret: I'm recording this video at 11 PM on a Wednesday, and a significant part of me wanted to postpone it to tomorrow or even until Monday. After all, Monday is the official day for fresh starts, right? But I made a choice: I have to start today. If I don't, there's a good chance I won't start at all.
So, instead of setting hard goals that I've seen myself fall short of before, I'm taking a different approach. I'm jumping on the bandwagon of creating a schedule, establishing a system, and committing to follow it. Once this system starts showing results, I'll be ready to set more specific goals.
So, what's in this system? It's a carefully crafted regimen that involves daily workouts, cardio, reading two chapters of the Bible as part of my spiritual growth, starting my workday bright and early, maintaining a balanced diet, and meal prepping, among other things. This system will be my daily guide as I embark on this journey to self-improvement.
