In the wake of recent political turmoil, our esteemed President sat down with senators to address the crisis that had gripped the senate. Sympathizers of various potential presidential candidates clashed, causing a commotion that threatened the unity of our movement. Present at the meeting were four remarkable individuals who aspire to lead our nation - Marcelo Ebrard, Claudia Sheinbaum, Adán Augusto López, and the esteemed Senate leader, Ricardo Monreal.

In his usual eloquent manner, our President declared something truly significant. He emphasized not just the importance of guaranteeing unity and respecting the people's will, but also ensuring that the upcoming survey to select the ideal candidate is conducted flawlessly, with unwavering reliability. Time is of the essence, and there is talk that a decision will be reached no later than August, or even September. This promise of a fair and trusted process, backed by our President's leadership, should provide us with the reassurance we need.

Embracing Inclusion: A Recipe for Unity

During his recent address on the 15th of May, our President discussed potential left-wing candidates, naming four individuals once again. While it is not essential for the President to mention my name for me to be included, I am determined to participate and accept the outcome with grace. The guarantee offered by our President seems sufficient for me. However, exclusivity breeds division and fosters cliques that we must overcome. I firmly believe in the power of unity, and nothing will hinder my participation. I am certain that I will prevail, for I believe they are underestimating the determination and strength of our people. I am putting in the effort, traversing the entire nation in preparation for the forthcoming campaign.

The official call for candidates will be issued after the elections on the 4th of June. From this platform, I reaffirm my conviction that no position is more important than the process of transformation, bringing social justice to every corner of our beloved nation, and serving our people. If, by some chance, I am not chosen as the candidate, I have no qualms about returning to my humble origins, selling books outside my house, just as I did in 2012. I am not seeking any position for personal gain; I exist to fulfill my commitment to our movement and the transformative process. Thus, I firmly stand by my belief that exclusion, sectarianism, and disqualification must be eradicated.

Leading by Example

Our remarkable movement is a testament to the exemplary leadership displayed by our President. His unwavering commitment to unity sets the tone for our collective efforts. Therefore, I reiterate my unwavering determination to register and participate once the official call is made. My conviction stems from the belief that I will receive the majority support from the people. However, in the event that I am not victorious, I will wholeheartedly support the person endorsed by the majority of our people and our movement.

Let us remember that the candidate who emerges victorious in this contest is likely to become the leader of our great nation. Our movement holds immense power, and the foundation of that power lies in our unity. I will continue to occupy a position that upholds this sense of unity and nurtures its growth, always demanding and reciprocating respect.
