The Clear Moral Stand

In the midst of conflict, it is crucial to understand the moral standing of the forces at play. In this particular situation, the lines are simple and clear. On one side, we have our greatest ally in the region - Israel, a thriving democracy. On the other side, we have an Islamist theocracy and its terrorist partners. It is evident where our allegiance should lie.

Most Americans instinctively know which side they stand on. They recognize the importance of supporting Israel in this battle against extremism and terrorism. As a voice for these Americans, I proudly declare that we stand with Israel.

The Troubling Divide

However, it is disheartening to witness how many elected Democrats have taken a different stance. Members of the so-called "squad" in the House of Representatives have gone as far as labeling Israel an apartheid state and accusing it of war crimes. These representatives are not obscure backbenchers; they are hailed by many Democrats as the future of their party.

Furthermore, 27 Democratic senators have called for an immediate ceasefire in the conflict. Even the Democratic floor leader, who has long portrayed himself as a staunch defender of Israel, has succumbed to moral equivalence by joining this call for a ceasefire.

Rejecting Moral Equivalence

Let me be unequivocal: calls for a ceasefire are nothing more than Hamas propaganda. Both sides in this conflict cannot be equated, regardless of what naive Democrats may imply. If Hamas were to lay down its weapons, peace would prevail. However, if Israel were to disarm itself, there would be no Israel left.

Thankfully, Israel's leadership remains resolute, united, and committed to victory. It is imperative that the United States responds to this terrorist onslaught with equal resolve. We must provide Israel with the time, space, and resources necessary to dismantle Hamas' war machine and protect its own people.

Equipping Israel for Victory

To ensure Israel's success, we must also guarantee that it has the military hardware required to weather this crisis. Hamas potentially possesses up to 10,000 missiles, rockets, and mortars in reserve. Additionally, Hezbollah looms to the north with an arsenal many times larger than that of Hamas.

Therefore, it is our duty to ensure that Israel has more interceptors for Iron Dome than Hamas has rockets aimed at killing Israelis. We must prioritize Israel's defense by providing the necessary resources to counter these threats effectively.
