The Dark Side

While these official mining companies boast about their contributions to the economy, the reality on the ground tells a different story. Many communities, particularly in the Center and Western regions, have been negatively impacted by the mining activities. Pollution of water sources, such as the Sanso River, has left residents without clean drinking water. The consequences of mining activities are evident, and the local residents bear the brunt of it.
