A New Chapter in Guinean Road Development

SWR International, a subsidiary of the official society, is a beacon of community development. They recently embarked on the road reprofiling project that connects the villages of Massant L'or and Signa de, in the sub-prefecture of Banankor, Kenwani prefecture. This initiative is part of their ongoing efforts to develop this region, despite being in the exploratory phase.

For this inaugural phase, they are focusing on a 4-kilometer stretch of road. This section of the road is retrofitted with substantial support from several projects. These projects include work from the workshop to fill in already degraded parts of the road clearance, which involves widening the road. Additionally, they plan to open ditches to improve water flow.

The impact of these works is already being seen by the local community. As the machines are in full operation, women and the elderly from the localities are already adjusting their schedules to accommodate these works. This is a testament to the community's anticipation and readiness to cooperate with these development efforts.
