Impacting the Younger Generation

The power of reaching out to the younger generation is incredible. Just think about it - how have you been able to get your message across to young people since your trip? It's a question worth pondering because the impact you can have on the younger generation is immense. So, how do you do it?

An Unexpected Journey to Impact

It's wild to even hear someone say that they are making such an impact on young people. A few years ago, if you had asked me if I knew that I would be impacting people the way I am, I wouldn't have believed it. Sure, I knew I could impact people through my music and dance, but to be doing so for this cause is something I couldn't have fathomed.

Now, not only am I using my social media platform to spread awareness and knowledge, but I'm also taking it a step further. I am going to schools and speaking directly to the students. I am immersing myself in their environment, talking to them face-to-face. Some of them may already follow me or know me, but now I am sitting there, talking about Holocaust education in a way that they can relate to.

But that's not all. I recently organized a Concert for Kindness, a concert aimed at promoting kindness and combatting anti-Semitism. I believe that every effort counts in spreading the message of no hate and no form of anti-Semitism.

The Unexpected Twists of Life

It's funny how life can lead us down paths we never expected to take. It's interesting to see how someone's original intentions can unfold into something so much bigger and impactful. I never thought that this cause would become my main focus, but here I am, educating and having a good time while doing it.

Education should be a blend of learning and enjoyment. Life should be about expanding our knowledge while also having fun with others. It's crucial for more people to use their platforms to stand up for what they believe in.

Honoring Dedication in Washington DC

Recently, I was honored in Washington DC for my dedication to combatting anti-Semitism. It was an experience I still can't believe I had the privilege to be a part of. I attended the first-ever Women's Jewish Forum, which was an incredible gathering. During my time there, I had the opportunity to meet with Doug Emhoff, the first Second Gentleman and Vice President Kamala Harris' husband. The fact that he is a Jewish man who also recently visited Auschwitz made this meeting even more profound.

During our conversation, we discussed our experiences and our family histories. We talked about how we are both continuing to fight against anti-Semitism in our own ways. It was a powerful exchange, to say the least.

Continuing the Legacy

Can you imagine if our grandparents could witness what we are doing now? It would be an incredible moment for them to see us carrying on their legacy. They survived something unimaginable, and now we have the responsibility to keep their memory alive by providing people with information and preventing history from repeating itself.

Watching our children carry on this legacy is also a remarkable experience. It's essential for us to instill in them the importance of never forgetting and working together to combat hatred. This responsibility weighs heavily on us.

Spreading Awareness to End Hatred

One of the most critical messages I want to share with our audience today is this: it is crucial for everyone to understand that the Holocaust can happen again. We live in a time where hate crimes, particularly anti-Semitism, are on the rise. It is happening now, and it's happening to a small percentage of the population. We must come together to put an end to it.

The story of my Zadie, my grandfather, serves as a stark reminder. Before the Holocaust, he had many non-Jewish friends who appreciated him. However, as soon as the announcements were made about the Jewish people and the Holocaust, everything changed. His friends turned on him, physically attacked him, and spouted hateful words. Friends he had known his entire life suddenly saw him as the "dirty Jew." It's a painful reality to imagine, but it's a reality we must confront.

So, let us stand together and make sure that we end this together. By coming together, we can make a difference and ensure that history does not repeat itself.
