This left Ruby with a heavy heart, and her encounter with a charismatic merchant in town, who offered a jar to be filled with hope, served as a poignant reminder of Ruby's lack of hope.

Amidst the backdrop of Blake and Yang's floating act and Ruby's apparent cluelessness, we're left with the burning question: does Ruby truly know more than she's letting on? Well, let's not keep you waiting. Without further ado, let's dive right into Chapter Three of "Rude Red and Royal."

Unraveling the Wonderland

The opening theme song of this episode takes center stage, and I find myself paying closer attention this time. The visual cues and lyrics are hinting at something beyond the mere references to "Alice in Wonderland" – a more fitting theme for the volume than "The Wizard of Oz," as some might have thought. Neo, who seems to be the Mad Hatter of this tale, stands as a prominent piece of the puzzle.

Red, Robots, and a Rather Rude King

Our heroes find themselves apprehended and taken to the Red Castle, raising a pertinent question: Is it really the right decision to enter this strange new world? Well, worry not, for the Red King decides to extend his hospitality, but not without a touch of rudeness. The Red Prince, a rather petulant robot, marks his birthday with a tantrum – not the grand gesture you'd expect from a king.

We can't help but wonder about this red-green debacle, sparking quite a disrespectful tone. But let's not jump the gun, as the eccentric ruler has a game in mind – a game of chess, a move at a time, where the pawns represent hope, life, and consequences.

Playtime in Wonderland

Now, the game begins, and our heroes find themselves quite literally on the chessboard. Weiss, Blake, and Yang are making waves in this oversized game of chess, with beautifully animated fights that bring life to the board. The action, combined with the music, is nothing short of brilliant.

But beware, the Red Prince is a sore loser, and when things don't go his way, he's quick to change the rules – that's Wonderland for you! And just when you think things couldn't get any more whimsical, the Red Prince unleashes an army of red pieces. It's a delightful and chaotic twist.

Curiouser and Curiouser

In a world that has all the whimsy of "Alice in Wonderland," it's no surprise that the curious cat makes an appearance. This cat, it seems, is the key to our heroes' return home, but it's playing hard to get, chasing butterflies in the enchanted forest. The symbolism of the butterflies, though intriguing, remains somewhat elusive.

And just when you thought it couldn't get more absurd, Neo enters the scene, bringing her cloning ability into play. The game board is getting crowded, and our heroes have to navigate this topsy-turvy Wonderland with caution.

A Mad World and an Escape

As the episode draws to a close, it's clear that Wonderland is indeed a "mad" world, full of peculiar characters and even stranger situations. Our heroes must navigate this place with wit, bravery, and a touch of madness, all while keeping their eyes on the prize: the curious cat and a way back home.

The Red Prince's impulsive tantrums and bizarre games are a testament to the quirky and unpredictable nature of this new world. With the chessboard battles and shifting rules, we can't help but embrace the wackiness of it all.

And so, we end this chapter with anticipation and excitement for what's to come. Will they catch the curious cat and find their way back to Remnant? Or will Wonderland continue to throw them through the looking glass of adventure and uncertainty?
