Oh, hey there! My name is Davey, and I'm here to fix your house. Yep, you heard me right. I'm the guy who can solve all your home repair problems. But let me tell you, it's not always as smooth sailing as you might think.

You know how it is when you hire professionals to do a job and you expect them to know what they're doing? Well, I've been there too. I remember when I first moved into my new home, all excited to relax in my backyard and enjoy the soft green grass. But guess what? No internet! And that's when the real chaos began.

The Three Musketeers of Home Repair

When you move into a new home, there are a few essential services you need to get up and running: water, electricity, and of course, the holy grail of modern living, the internet. So, I called upon three brave souls to save the day: the home appliance guy, the electrician, and the internet guy.

Now, I didn't ask for much from these heroes. Just two simple things: do your job and don't put 13 holes in my walls. Sounds reasonable, right? Well, you'd think so.

The Surprisingly Competent Trio

To my surprise, these guys actually did their jobs. The home appliance guy turned on my appliances, the electrician brought electricity into my home, and the internet guy got me connected to the World Wide Web. Hooray! But wait, there's more.

The internet guy, bless his soul, stayed a bit longer than usual. Why, you ask? Well, it turned out that the original spot for my internet box was in the garage. Not the most convenient location for my Wi-Fi router, which needs to be connected directly to the internet box. I mean, who wants their router in a concrete signal-devouring cage?

The Curious Case of the Internet Box

So, I asked the internet guy if there was any way we could move the internet box into the next room. Seemed like a simple request, right? But his response left me scratching my head. He said, "We could, but we don't do that anymore. Not after the last time."

Now, I'm no mind reader, but that sure piqued my curiosity. I didn't want to pry, so I simply asked if there were any other solutions. And what did he do? He handed me the number of an electrician. Uh-oh.

The Electrician's Oath

I called up the electrician, hoping for a miracle. And you know what? They assured me that not only could they do the job, but they also had a policy of not putting 13 holes in my walls. That's a relief! So, I eagerly awaited their arrival.

When the electrician showed up, I couldn't help but feel a little skeptical. I mean, this guy looked like he could accidentally put 13 holes in my walls just by breathing. But I gave him the benefit of the doubt and reminded him, "Please, for the love of all that is holy, don't put 13 holes in my walls."

The Unexpected Betrayal

And what do you think happened next? Yep, you guessed it. This so-called electrician managed to put 19 holes in my walls. Can you believe it? I was dumbfounded. How is it even possible to put holes in rooms on the other side of the house? It must be some kind of voodoo magic.

So here I am, stuck with 19 holes in my walls and a whole lot of frustration. I guess I'll have to buy 19 picture frames to cover up the mess. Thanks a lot, Mr. Electricidad.

Conclusion: Lessons Learned

In the end, I've come to realize that home repair is no easy task. Mistakes happen, even when you hire professionals. But hey, at least I got a good story out of it, right?

So, next time you find yourself in a similar situation, just remember to keep your expectations in check. And if you ever need a laugh, feel free to share my misadventures in home repair.

Oh, and before I go, I wanted to let you know that I'll be attending VidCon US this year. It's happening in Anaheim, California, from June 22 to 25. If you're there, come say hi!
