On April 22nd alone, 532 patients were announced to have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 10,616,725. Currently, there are 123 patients undergoing oxygen therapy, with 90 using nasal cannula and 8 receiving high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) treatment. There is one patient on non-invasive ventilation.

In Hanoi, there have been 24 reported deaths due to Covid-19. The total number of Covid-19-related deaths in Vietnam now stands at 43,187 cases, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections. Vietnam ranks 26th out of 230 territories in terms of mortality rates and 141st out of 230 countries in terms of deaths per million population globally. In comparison to Asia, Vietnam ranks seventh out of 49 territories in terms of total deaths and third out of Asian territories in terms of deaths per million population.

On April 21st, a total of 14,642 doses of Covid-19 vaccine were administered. This brings the total number of vaccine doses administered to 266,142,934 worldwide.
