Danh Tính Các Doanh Nhân, Golfer Trong Vụ Chơi Poker Tiền Tỉ Ở Vĩnh Phúc

On March 29th, 2013, the Ministry of Public Security announced that the Criminal Investigation Agency C02, under the Ministry, had initiated a criminal case and ordered the temporary detention of 21 individuals involved in an organized gambling and poker gambling scheme at the Dista Hotel in Vinh Phuc Province. Additionally, the investigative documents were transferred to the Department of Military Criminal Investigation for the prosecution of one individual under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Public Security.

The identities of the 21 entrepreneurs who were apprehended and subject to temporary detention were revealed by the C02 Criminal Investigation Agency. These individuals, who hailed from various locations, had gathered at the Destar Hotel in Vinh Phuc to participate in a golf tournament. Notably, Trần Anh Linh, the director of Trần Lê Corporation, was identified as the mastermind behind the organization. Among the detainees were Lê Hùng Nam, the deputy director of the Gold Association of Vietnam and the association's secretary-general, Trần Thanh Tú.

The individuals facing charges related to the organization of gambling included Nguyễn Thị Thu Kiều (29 years old, residing in Tân Bình District, Ho Chi Minh City), Thanh Thủy (27 years old, residing in Vĩnh Cửu district, Dong Nai province), Phan Thị Huỳnh Như (24 years old, residing in Châu Phú district, An Giang province), and Trần Thị Ngọc Minh (25 years old, residing in Bình Đại district, Bến Tre province). Those facing charges related to gambling activities encompassed Nguyễn Hồng Thái (50 years old, residing in Ba Đình district, Hanoi), Trần Thanh Tú (54 years old, residing in Thủ Đức district, Ho Chi Minh City), Ngô Hữu Tiết (40 years old, residing in Tây Hồ district, Hanoi), Nguyễn Tuấn Việt (44 years old, residing in Đống Đa district, Hanoi), Diều Chí Hảo (48 years old, residing in Tân Phú district, Ho Chi Minh City), Nguyễn Công Đức (36 years old, residing in Thanh Xuân district, Hanoi), Trần Quyết Thắng (51 years old, residing in Hai Bà Trưng district, Hanoi), Lê Tuấn Việt (53 years old, residing in Đống Đa district, Hanoi), Đặng Đình Hầu (50 years old, residing in Ba Đình district, Hanoi), Nguyễn Mộng Liêm (43 years old, residing in Hai Bà Trưng district, Hanoi), Lê Hồng Dân (35 years old, residing in Hà Đông district, Hanoi), Nguyễn Nhật Trương (40 years old, residing in Cầu Giấy district, Hanoi), Nguyễn Hữu Huân (39 years old, residing in Bắc Giang city, Bắc Giang province), and Võ Ngọc Hường (50 years old, residing in Thanh Khê district, Da Nang city). Lastly, Thái Tấn Dũng (55 years old, residing in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City) was the only individual charged with both organizing gambling and engaging in gambling activities.

Earlier, on March 20th, 2013, around 23:45, C02, in conjunction with the Vinh Phuc provincial police, raided Room 550 of the Distor Hotel and caught 22 individuals engaged in organizing and participating in poker gambling. As a result of the operation, law enforcement officials confiscated more than 4.6 million Vietnamese Dong, equivalent to over 4.6 billion Vietnamese Dong, as well as various relevant documents and evidence.
